Kalilah and Grant (Final Epi)

Episode 5
Kalilah’s phone beeped, it was a message from bro Grant Phillips.
“Hello pretty, how are you today? You deserve the best. Enjoy the rest of today.
Kalilah just ignored the message.
She got dressed for work and called Violet to inform her that she’ll pass through her place after work to see her and her husband.
___________________________________________________________________________________________
Violet and her husband had been enjoying the weekend. Violet loved her husband so much but for the fact that he was the desire of every young lady. Even though Violet trusted him she was very careful not to allow another lady take her place.
She had stepped out of the house to collect the things she ordered for when kalilah her friend came in.
Kalilah met her husband and they both began to converse. Kalilah began to ask lots of questions until she asked a particular question when Violet stepped in.
The look on Violet’s face showed displeasure, she greeted Kalilah casually and walked inside. Her husband followed her trying to find out what happened, maybe someone out there annoyed her. But Violet didn’t say anything, she just brushed it aside, came out and spoke with Kalilah before Kalilah decided to leave.
Kalilah couldn’t tell her about the dream the pastor’s wife saw or even anything. Violet was not in a good mood and she didn’t want to bother her more.

Kalilah arrived home from Violet’s house and decided to go into the kitchen to quickly fix something, her phone rang but ended before she got to it. That must be Violet she said to herself. She must have got some gist for me.
After preparing dinner, Kalilah picked up her phone and saw a message from Violet.
Kalilah, I’m disappointed in you. I trusted you as my friend. Can’t I leave my husband with you in the house. What’s the meaning of that question you asked my husband. I heard it yes I did. I pray God gives you your man.
Kalilah was shocked, all her questions were harmless. I didn’t say anything bad. What did Violet hear. Why is everything against me, Kalilah thought to herself.
At this point she made up her mind to set the weekend aside and pray about marriage. She had heard stories of people and their marriages. She recalled a particular incidence that had happened when she was little.
Her neighbours then were known for fighting. It would start from a little argument and then lead to kicks and blows. She didn’t want that hell of a marriage. And she wanted to make peace with her friend Violet even though she didn’t do any wrong.
“I’ll spend time to pray for my marriage and pray for Violet as well. I’ll not do anything to destroy anyone’s home cause I want a happy home.
______________________________________________________________________________________

“Lord lead me to the man you want for me, I want a happy home, I want to fulfill your purpose for me here on Earth. Help me to recognize the man you have kept for me. Lord I’ll say yes to your Will. I trust you to give me the best.

After prayers that weekend. Kalilah received answers to her prayers. She had a dream where she saw bro Micheal and herself going on a journey. They journey was smooth and they were both happy suddenly they got to a bump and their car stopped. They began to look for ways to move the car, the Tyre was punctured as they were stranded in the jungle. Just then bro Grant Phillips appeared from behind, walked up to Kalilah and offered to rescue her.
Kalilah who wanted safety began to go with bro Grant Phillips. Bro Micheal immediately began to assure Kalilah that all will be well and that they will fix it and continue the journey. But since it was taking long she lost her patience and went with bro Grant Phillips..
As she left with him. They both hurried away and few minutes into the journey their car fell into a pit and they began to call for help.
Kalilah called till she jolted out of sleep. She began to pant.
“My God! What kind of dream is this. Among this two brothers, Lord who is the one you want for me.
Her morning alarm rang, it was time to prepare for church. She was to lead the praise Worship team for that day.
“Oh God, clarify whatever this dream means as I render service in your house today” She said loudly.
Kalilah prepared for the morning service and headed straight to church.

Episode 6
Praise the Lord! It’s a beautiful Sunday morning and God will be speaking specifically to some people here.
Our sermon this morning is titled: Seeking God’s face for a blissful home.
Marriage is an institution ordained by God. He gives the best to His children who involve him in every step.
One thing to note is that the journey will not be as cosy as you day dream. Some singles dream of a marriage with happiness, enjoyment, pleasure without preparing themselves for uncertainties and circumstances.
Marriage should be enjoyed but it must go through a series of tests and trials.
Even roses despite how beautiful have thorns in them.
Don’t allow temporal pleasure and gain deprive you of eternal bliss.
Kalilah who was very sensitive to the Holy Spirit immediately got the interpretation of the dream she had the previous night
She began to cry and pray in worship thanking God for speaking through that sermon.
Kalilah waited till the end of the service so she can see her pastor and tell him about her final decision on whom to marry
(Knock knock)
“Yes come in.

Ha! Sis Kalilah, you’re welcome. Your worship session was very powerful, you’re blessed.”
“Amen! Sir, I just wanted to see you for something.”
“Okay my daughter, hope all is well?”
“Yes all is well, Daddy God has finally spoken concerning my marriage and I want to tell you.”
(Knock knock)
“Yes, please come in”
“Good afternoon Sir”
“Bro Micheal, good afternoon, how was the service?”
“It was powerful Sir, I just came to inform you that Reverend Donatus is outside waiting to see you briefly.
“Ok, thank you, I’ll join him briefly
Sis Kalilah please just few minutes”
“Ok Sir.”
___________________________________________________________________________________

“Sis Kalilah, I’m sorry I kept you waiting. The bishop just wanted to appreciate me for supporting him when his mother took ill. Thank God she’s better now.
So who did you say God revealed to you?”

“Bro Micheal”
“Bro Micheal? You mean the bro Micheal who just stepped in to call me few minutes ago?”
“Yes Sir.”
“So how did you know or suddenly become sure he’s the one?”
Kalilah explained everything to the pastor, who in turn confirmed it and prayed with her.
Kalilah went home that day with joy in her heart.
How do I tell Violet that I’ll be getting married to Micheal. She has refused picking my calls.
Maybe I’ll send her a text.
Dear Violet, I’m sorry if you’re still unhappy about how I talked with Ken your husband the other day. I just want to tell you that I’m engaged to Micheal, the brother in my church I told you about and our journey to happily ever after will be very soon. I love you Violet.
Violet read the message and screamed with excitement, finally my Friend Kaly is getting married she said to herself. I was just been mean to her I thought she wanted to have my husband to herself.
I’ll host a lunch with her in my house this weekend.

“Kalilah I’m so sorry for how I treated you. I was just being too careful. I heard you asking hubby what he saw in me that attracted him to me, so you could do same. I thought you wanted to take my place.”

“No Violet I can’t do that, you’re my friend and I won’t hurt you. I just wanted to learn.
Anyway the deal now is that I’m finally getting married.
The code is KaMic together forever.”
“Wow…….. Congratulations Kaly”
They opened the drinks in a very happy mood.
“Cheers to long life, happy homes and forever with the love of our lives.”

The End.
