But before divulging these writing advice let’s quickly take a look her profile…
Jeveria is a graduate of the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences in Pakistan, and she studied accounting and finance.
Since she came into the freelance writing industry she has been…
- helping brands generate leads and rank on search engine
- writing web copies
- writing SEO articles for B2B
- training freelancers (100+)
I can go on and on sharing the great stuff I learned about our guest Khalid but that will be stalling the agenda of the day.
So let’s dive in…

Can you share some key strategies for crafting compelling website copy that not only engages readers but also ranks well in search engine results?
To answer your first question Bridget, what I do is that..
- I understand my audience.
- I learn about their needs, their interest and pain point.
- I do my key word research according to my audiences.
- I optimize my heading by making them attractive, engaging and as well optimized so that it has a high ranking in google.
- I add CTA’S at the end of my copy, this helps to generate actions from my audience.
- I Keep the readability of my website score at up to fifth grade to help my audience understand better.
- I add an experience or my experience so my audience can relate with me. And they’ll be like “oh yes! I’ve been there, I’ve done that! ”What this does is that it generates action so my audience have a higher rate of taking action to the call to action at the end of my copy.
To make your copy compelling add CTA’s this is my golden tip.
As an SEO expert content writer, what are some common mistakes you see writers make when trying to optimize their content for search engines?
The mistake new writers make is that….
- They stuff keywords.
- They don’t focus on LSI keywords.
- They don’t do proper keyword research.
- They ignore the user intent.
- They try to stuff their work and this decrease the quality
- They rely so much on Chatgpt or other AI tools.
- They ignore dates; for example I’m writing about scholarships in 2024 so I cannot write, a scholarship that was offered in 2023 just for the sake of adding the content or adding the words into my website copy I cannot like use the whole information.

How do you approach the balance between creating SEO-friendly content and maintaining the integrity and quality of the writing?
To answer your 3rd question what I do is that….
- I research my primary keywords and also LSI or related keywords; what this does is that it
What this does is that it gives me the answer, for example if a reader is asking for the best phones for 2024 I know my user is asking to buy a phone that is why he is researching on it however he probably wouldn’t know other key features. So I’ll add a buying guide to my copy which will contain relative and LSI keywords.
- I humanize my content I may research, and find information from AI tools but I don’t write with AI tools.
We have to stop focusing on b2b or b2c we have to start focusing on human to human content.
What advice would you give to aspiring writers who are just starting their journey in the world of freelance writing?
My advice to aspiring writers would be that…
- They have to practice, practice.
- They have to learn how to create a perfect content and perfection comes from practice.
- They cannot rely on the AI tools.
- They need to master their skills to be able to properly command the AI tools.
- They should not rely on smart work over hard work.

How do you stay updated with the latest trends and changes in the field of SEO and content writing?
What I do to stay updated with the new trend is that…
- I follow all the top creators in the industry
- I subscribe to their email list so that I can get contact updates.
- I attend webinars both online and offline.
- I network.
- I play with different tools such as Grammarly, Hemmingway, Headline analyzers. So by working with these tools, these tools give you a lot of advices to improve your work by taking their advices I get better at it.
Can you share some tips for effectively managing time and workflow as a freelance writer?
Time management is something I struggle with since I started content writing four years back. But now that I started using different soft wares, different tools for time management, I have gotten better at it. There’s an app called ‘Trello’, it has different boards to manage different tasks.
I have those boards, the team boards and I have my writers on those boards. I update the Trello boards according to what we have to do in a month and my writers get the task, they upload their work on the board and they update me constantly so that I don’t have to personally go to my writers and ask them for updates like how are you doing, how are you doing on XYZ job or what is the update on that.
I just open the app Trello App and all my writers have updated their task on the Trello App so that I am constantly getting the work, constantly getting the updates and constantly updating my clients on the same board. So this is how I manage my work and tasks effectively as of now.
I also have a to-do list, To-do widget on my phone so whatever I have to do the next day, I have a list of that and I tick them after doing them.

How do you approach the process of researching and gathering information for your writing projects?
How do I research for my blogs for writing a website copy? What I do is…
- I go to Google, and I open the first five blogs that I find on the topic and then I read them.
- I know what my rough draft looks like; by pointing out the main topic, keywords and subtopics.
- I create a rough draft after reading these five articles.
- I open Statista and Google scholar to find facts and figures for the topic.
- I create my second draft; where I modify my draft to create the main headings and sub-headings and then I add the pointers and do my research accordingly.
- I also research some relative articles to the main topic. For example, I would research best phones of 2024. So to research for the relative topics, I will research on the user experience:
- what are people loving
- which company’s phone people are loving in 2024?
- I also visit YouTube if I don’t understand some topics too well.
What are some effective strategies for overcoming writer’s block or creative stagnation?
Now comes the writer’s blog, for writer’s block, what I do is
- I change my environment. For example, if I’m working from home and I’m working on my home office, I will sit in the garden, I will sit in nature or I will go to my terrace for fresh air. If I’m working from my office, then I will go to a café.
- I not only focus on my fingers who are writing the words but I also improve the environment for my eyes, for my ears, for my nose, because all of these senses play a key role in providing a great creative website copy.
- I read the relative content and this helps me to quickly come up with something.
Pro tip – First change your environment second for whatever your mind is facing or for whatever words or ideas are flowing in your mind write them on a piece of paper, it helps a lot.

As a mentor to new freelance writers, what are some common challenges they face, and how do you help them overcome these challenges?
What key problems are the new writers facing, one of the main thing new writers are facing is…
- Getting clients; Getting clients is the topmost important query that new writers are facing. What to help them is that I teach them all my networking strategies. I tell them how to secure a client that if a client is coming to you with a short term project how do you convert it to a long term, how do you over deliver, how do you help the client and how do you emotionally connect with the client.
- They face rejection and they face criticism and they don’t know how to handle it.. So to help them overcome that I again share my personal experiences, I provide support and I provide encouragement to them.
- Self-branding issues, they don’t know how to promote themselves, so I help the writers build their portfolio, I check their portfolio, I review it and tell them what improvement can be infused.
Can you share a memorable success story from your experience mentoring new writers?
This is my favorite question because I love to answer it. Essentially, my utmost achievement in my freelance writing career would be when one of my students, who was very introverted and shy, didn’t know how to communicate or express her questions and concerns openly. She would never speak up. However, after the training programs where I taught her how to be confident (since I also provide counseling in addition to teaching topics, aiming to motivate and boost their morale), there was a remarkable transformation.
Following the training program, she engaged with numerous clients worldwide, despite not landing many projects. However, she seized the opportunity to network and communicate with people from different countries. Recently, she participated in a debating competition and won the second prize. It’s incredible to witness someone who was once very shy and hesitant not only overcome their barriers but also excel in a public speaking forum.
I take pride in knowing that I didn’t just assist someone in getting clients or making money; I also instilled confidence in her and helped shape her personality. Encouraging her to speak in front of hundreds of people and ultimately win the second prize in the debate competition is a significant achievement for me.
